Empowering young leaders in Nigeria, Africa, and the world through quality education and faith-based values
Guided by faith and commitment to excellence in education
To prepare students for life in a global society by helping them to know God, work with others, overcome obstacles, assume responsibility, and give back to society. We are committed to the education and training of a child from early childhood through the college years.
To pioneer an educational revival that plants a tree giving shade to coming generations. We envision a future where every child has access to quality education that builds a solid foundation in preschool where basic principles are taught in a loving, fun, nurturing environment.
A faith-based non-profit transforming education in Nigeria
Highlands Education International (HEI) is a faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, registered in the United States and in Nigeria. Founded by Dr. Fola and Dr. Elizabeth Soremekun, HEI was born from a vision to invest in a new generation of young people who will become the future leaders of Nigeria, Africa, and the world.
In 2006, using their retirement savings and charitable donations, the Soremekuns broke ground on the HEI school on Mambilla Plateau in Gembu, Taraba State, Nigeria. The 150-acre campus represents their commitment to providing world-class education in a nurturing environment.
Today, HEI continues to grow, offering comprehensive education from early childhood through college preparation, ensuring that every student receives the tools they need to succeed in a global society.
